I'm also working on writing up the directions for a couple of the crocheted 'character' hats that I designed and sell in my Etsy shop.  The pattern that I use when I make them is covered with scribbles, additions, cross-outs and arrows.  I am also left handed so I need to make sure they will work for right-ees. Since I'm not a professional pattern writer, I'm only writing up the ones that are easiest to explain. 

I plan to offer one of the most poplular  - the puppy.   I'm also working on the chick and the piggy:

 

 

 

 

I'll still be offering the actual hats for sale for folks who don't crochet.  I'll still accept orders for custom hats as time permits.  I've made these hats in many different 'characters' and cutomized color combos.  I've customized them as a cow, a monkey, a cat and a bunny.  I've even made a couple of them in adult sizes and one teenaged girl ordered an elephant and lion!

 

I've always thought it would be fun to combine a couple of them, like an elephant with puppy ears or a chick with elephant ears. You get the idea! Any other suggestion???? Leave me your ideas.

  

 

 

Finally.....New earrings in my Etsy shop

I've finally gotten around to posting a few new earrings in my Etsy shop.  All of my jewelry is handmade by me and I try to make them as affordable as I can.  I NEVER use plastic beads!  I use glass, semi-precious, wood and stone combined with silver plated and gold toned metals.  I do have surgical steel ear wires available upon request but I don't use them on a regualr bases bacause they have a darker silver color to them, almost a gunmetal color.  Here's a peek at the ones I listed yesterday. I have TONS more to list.  Keep in mind, I am not a photographer so please excuse the slight blurry quality.

Changes afoot.....

Sometime, in the not too distant future, I will be starting a new blog.  This one, A Touch of Heaven, will be reserved for book reviews.  The new one will be for news, Etsy product introductions, and what ever else I want to chat about.  So here is where you, the reader, comes in.....I need to choose a name for the new blog.   So... leave a comment with your suggestions and we'll see what happens. I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

It's about time!

I finally found the time to list some new necklaces on my Etsy site. I hate taking the pictures and then editing them and then trying to think of witty and interesting descriptions, but I

These are great for facial scrubbies, washing baby, or even washing dishes. They're 100% cotton. Some of the sets include a 7 inch washcloth and most include a soap saver bag for all those pesky end pieces of soap that you usually end of throwing away. Collect a few in the bag and suds away!

I've been featured in a couple of treasuries and one made the front page! 

Christian creativity

For those of you who know about Etsy.com, you will know that the product gallery that you see on the home page ia called a treasury.  They are generally chosen by etsy sellers, or as we like to call ourselves, "Estians".  They can be a little tricky to get posted because there are only a few SECONDS that an open space is available.  If you don't type fast enough to get your title listed, you will probably have to wait another 2-3 days until the next few seconds opens up. And if you do manage to snag a spot, you'd better make sure you typed correctly because there's no changing it!

All this to say.....I DID IT!!!!!!  It was lots of fun and I got to see a bunch of great products as I searched through alot of great shops.  The treasury I created can be seen here, but only for a couple of days, they expire after a couple of days.

Wow! It's been a looooooong time!

So many changes since my last post ! Graduations, weddings, grandchildren, getting older.......

God has certainly been good! We now have 3 beautiful grandchildren, 3 wonderful son-in-laws, and a cat. (Our dog tolerates her with distainful patience)
